4:o (binding 285x232 mm., text 275 x 225 mm.). Yellow printed wrapper dated 1845 (placed as title, printed title missing as usual). (I)- IV, (1)-222; (2), (2), 3-44 pp. With 60 hand-coloured lithographed plates (complete, [plate 59 uncoloured], 1 plate with spotting, otherwise some offsetting and some spotting or browning, lacking most tissue-papers), 3 engraved plates.
Contemporary half calf bindings, slightly worn, partly split to inner hinges gilt title to spine, all endpapers cut in outer margin. Text partly somewhat foxed and browned.
Missing the latin text, otherwise complete.

The first fascicule was published May 1836 and the work was published in 10 fascicules until 1857. The plates were finely coloured by hand after living specimens, and also supervised by Wilhem von Wright himself.
With the appendix on fishing tackles in Scandinavia (Beskrifning öfver de i Skandinavien bruklige fiskredskap med figurer).
