With hand-coloured engraved title (later colour), engraved bordure to dedication leaf by Merian, engraved coat-of-arms, 9 fullpage engraved portraits (Kurfurst Friedrich III. and Martin Luther by M. Merian), and richly illustrated with hand-coloured woodcuts by M. Thym after Johann Hauer (all with later colour).
Near contemporary full leather binding, heavily worn and rubbed, upper board with gilt letters and date 1635, partly loose, split inner joints, richly gilt spine in compartments and red title labels, patly damaged, gilt edges, some pages partly loose. Some browning and spotting, more to some pages in the beginning. Old owner's notes to first endpaper dated 1635.
