Partly-printed document, signed "Victoria R," one page c. dated May 1, 1896. . Signed at the head in ink by Queen Victoria. Also signed by Lord Salisbury. With paper seal. C. 460x335 mm.
Appointment for Alexander Stuart Rogers (1862-1905) to be Vice-Consul in East Africa Protectorate. Some creases, offsetting of the seal to the opposite page, slight spotting.
Lord Salisbury (Robert Talbot Gascogne-Cecil), (1830-1903), British statesman and Conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom three times for a total of over thirteen years.
