Each finely painted in bright famille rose enamels, iron-red, and gilding, one with a domestic scene of a couple playing music, seated on a sofa together with a young boy playing with a ruyi scepter, below them a young child playing with persimmons, behind them a shelf with various objects, such as a gilt censer, a teapot, a bowl of fruit, an album, and a brush pot containing brushes and scrolls, beside them a wall dividing them from another couple, whose hands join around a cup of hot tea; and one of a Mongolian hunting scene within a garden landscape with two equestrian ladies, one of them lighting her long pipe with an equestrian man, accompanied by an musician, a falconer, and an attendant, two dogs running ahead, the landscape with rocky outcrops and gnarly trees in the background. Period: Qianlong (1736-1795). Measurements c. 28 x 35.5 cm, mounted as tabletops for early 20th century tables, height c. 77 cm, length 45 cm, width 37 cm.
